The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! … Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! (Ps 19:7 & 95:1, 6)

The Word of God is central to all we do each Sunday morning. We read the Word, preach the Word, pray the Word, sing the Word in our songs, and see the Word as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper each week.

Our music is a mixture of old and new, classic and fresh. We use a piano, guitars, some percussion, and even occasionally some brass and strings. Come join us – we’d love to add your voice to the chorus of praise to our God!

but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Mt 19:14)

We have lots of kids at Ascension and it is our privilege to partner with parents in the discipling of their children. While the Scripture gives that responsibility primarily to parents, we believe the covenant community should take an active role in coming alongside parents and assisting them wherever possible.

To that end, we have an intentional stance towards children – expressed by not removing them from our life together and worship, but by including them.

For young children (3 years and younger) there is a nursery available each week. Our kids 4 and older are encouraged to utilize the sermon outlines and activity sheets that are made available for them on clipboards each service.
