Organizing for Ministry
Effectively identifying and stewarding the resources and ministries of the church through intentional planning, organizing, and structure.
Organizing for Ministry is the area of our Mission Statement that represents our commitment to fulfill the mission to disciple the nations in an organized manner. This allows for the effective stewardship of resources, proactive communication, and excellence in all we do, to the Glory of our Heavenly Father.
As a church, we believe we are most effective in living out our mission when every member is encouraged and provided opportunities to exercise their specific gifts, talents, and abilities. We are committed to the truth that every member is both a ministry and a minister. The intentionality of how we are organized offers clarity about opportunities to minister as God has equipped each of us.
The Ministry Support Team is the group of ministries which collaborate together as a part of the “trellis” of APC, serving the “vine” as it flourishes and seeks to produce the fruit of discipleship in the body.
Two Support Teams:
- Admin Support Team (AST)
- Ministry Support Team (MST)
Admin Support Team
The AST includes our Office Manager, Bookkeeping Advisor, Human Resources Advisor, Information Technology Team, and Social Media Coordinator. The AST is responsible for building and maintaining the structures and systems that allow church operations to run as smoothly as possible.
Ministry Support Team
The Ministry Support Team is comprised of 6 ministries whose sole purpose is to provide the support resources necessary to allow the other 4 Missional Elements (Worshiping Jesus, Loving the Body, Loving our Neighbor, Equipping for Discipleship) to flourish as they engage their specific focus in discipleship. These 6 teams include Hospitality, Set-up/Tear-Down, Nursery, Music, Safety & Security, and Media.
