Worshiping Jesus
Joyfully worshiping in all of life and together as the family of God, with reverence and awe, mindful of our heritage as well as our present context.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30) “…whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) “…falling on his face, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you.” (1 Corinthians 14:25)
At the core of our mission as a church — indeed, at the heart of our very lives — we are called to be a community of worshipers. While our worship of Jesus is all-encompassing and takes many forms, it finds its crescendo each Lord’s Day as we gather together as the family of God.
This ministry area of our church, led by our senior pastor, Nate Hitchcock, oversees and guides our weekly worship of the LORD to ensure that it is Biblical, richly rooted in our heritage, aesthetically beautiful, and relevant for the next generation of worshipers.
To that end, we are committed to expositional preaching through God’s Word, a liturgy informed and guided by His Word and our Reformed tradition, and worship music that is God-exalting, Christ-centered, joyful and reverent. When these things are present, God grows His people to greater and greater maturity.
The purpose of the Corporate Worship Team is to lead, encourage, and accompany the body as it worships each Lord’s Day and in all of life. In addition to our pastor, this area is served by our assistant pastor, pastoral intern, music director, sound lead, and aesthetics coordinator.
